Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a IT Field Support Specialist to join our team. The specialist will conduct sites surveys; assesses and documents current site configuration and user requirements. The specialist will analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions. The specialist will also prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.

Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a IT Field Support Specialist to join our team. The specialist will conduct sites surveys; assesses and documents current site configuration and user requirements. The specialist will analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions. The specialist will also prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.
Duties
- Plan and execute hardware installation schedules; prepare related installation and test reports
- Configure and install workstations, servers, printers, teleconferencing equipment and related cabling
- Troubleshoot, repair, and test IT hardware including computers, peripherals and telecom systems
- Document configuration changes and update technical drawings using AutoCAD
- Build custom interconnecting cables and maintain fiber optic modems, multiplexers, and Ethernet systems
- Provide on-site training to personnel on proper hardware use and Maintenace
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of relevanrt hardware support experience
- Strong proficiency in hardware installation, troubleshooting, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Skilled in reading technical manuals and schematics; able to work independently with minimal supervison
- Available for an 8-hour shift between 6 am and 6 pm as needed by management
Required Clearance
- TS/SCI with a FS Polygraph
