Job Description:
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to provide support to senior resources on the team in areas of technical writing/review, research assistance, documentation preparation, and compile and drafting documentation for use in responses to requests. The Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements and developing a requirements document. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work closely with stakeholders, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with business goals.
Duties:
Includes but not limited to:
Elicit, document, and analyze business and system requirements for projects and initiatives.
Analyze and interpret requirements to ensure they are clear, consistent, and feasible.
Identify and elicit requirements from various stakeholders
Facilitate meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, gaps and challenges.
Create and maintain clear and concise requirements document
Communicate requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to validate and prioritize requirements.
Review documents and provide technical edits and comments
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Some post-secondary education in English, Science, or a related technical discipline, or a combination of relevant education and directly applicable professional experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Technical Writer
- Proficient in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
- Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office and excellent writing skills
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary Range:
Pay range information will be disclosed consistent with applicable state and local pay transparency laws once available. For this position, the anticipated salary range is $112,320.00-$120,050.00 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
