Job Description:
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a qualified AV Network Engineers / AV Systems Specialists to support audiovisual and network operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, performance, and operational readiness of all AV network systems before, during, and after events.
Duties:
Ensure integrity and operational status of all AV networks and related software systems prior to, during, and after events.
Monitor and maintain AV network performance during live events.
Provide AV network administration including: Configuration management, System backups and archiving, Performance monitoring, Local and off-site backup storage.
Notify the COR immediately of any system issues or network degradation.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs to maintain operational efficiency of AV systems and network infrastructure.
Maintain all IT, audio, video, AV network, and telephone equipment.
Maintain LED video walls and monitors and resolve issues seamlessly during events.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and provide technical support.
Identify recurring problems, report to the COR, and implement corrective solutions.
Coordinate configuration changes for Windows systems, Cisco switches, and other network devices with the COR.
Prepare AV network hardware for decommissioning and disposition when equipment reaches End of Life.
Track maintenance schedules, licensing agreements, and vendor support coordination.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Must maintain current Audinate Dante certification and Biamp TesiraFORTÉ certification
Experience in AV networking, IT infrastructure, or audiovisual systems support
Experience performing live-event troubleshooting and support
Knowledge of AV network backup procedures and data recovery processes
Ability to diagnose and repair network hardware and software issues
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate directly with a COR
