This role is responsible for maintaining high availability, improving performance, and supporting mission-critical operational systems.

Job Description:
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Database Engineer to support enterprise database environments through database engineering, systems administration, and automation. This role is responsible for maintaining high availability, improving performance, and supporting mission-critical operational systems.
Duties:
- Design, develop, administer, and maintain enterprise database management systems.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance solutions.
- Implement database backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
- Develop automation solutions using Ansible and UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
- Perform Linux and Windows server patching and system maintenance activities.
- Support database operations, troubleshooting, and continuous system improvement initiatives.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
- Experience administering enterprise database environments and SQL performance tuning.
- Strong experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and automation tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating system administration and patch management.
- Experience supporting database replication, backup, and recovery operations.
